Villagers – Nothing Arrived

VillagersWith the arrival of a second album fast approaching, Villagers, the Mercury nominated and Ivor Novello winning alternative quintet from Dublin, are getting people excited. This is the latest gem taken from the forthcoming album {Awayland} that is released mid-January on Domino Recording – interestingly, Villagers are the only Irish band to be signed to said record label. Nothing Arrived is a more acoustic change from their previous offering, Waves, which was an experimental electronic nod to mainstream, but both songs show off frontman Conor J. O’Brien’s songwriting talent and his unique voice that has become so associated with the band. Having finished a U.K tour with Grizzly Bear, Villagers have just announced a  headline tour across Europe and the U.K. in 2013, so be sure to catch them live next year.
