I’ll admit this song isn’t exactly new, but this band is FANTASTIC. Half Moon Run are a Canadian trio currently causing a buzz in the Montreal indie circuit, playing sold out gigs and their debut album going down a storm. Their sound is immediately striking. It’s folksy in its arpeggiated way, complete with three-part harmonies that are pitch-perfect. The band members are classically trained, shown in live shows by Dylan Phillips playing drums with one hand and keys with the other. Full Circle is at points cautious, yet urgent and is one of the best songs I’ve heard all year.
